About Us
We are a group of Christians eager to return to the simplicity and incisiveness of the Christian Church of the apostolic era. We strive to follow the teaching of the whole Gospel with a life of deep consecration to God.
The Evangelical Christian Churches "Assemblies of God in Italy" (ADI) represent a direct emanation of that movement of evangelical awakening born at the beginning of the last century in various countries of the world. Currently, our association counts over a thousand churches and groups scattered throughout the Italian territory.
We also carry out extensive social assistance activities through our Institutes for the elderly, for needy children, and for the rehabilitation of drug addicts. Our desire is to grow spiritually through faith, prayer, and the study of the Holy Scriptures.
The "Assemblies of God in Italy", recognizing the vast work of the Holy Spirit manifesting in the world today, certain that the Spirit of God will "guide into all truth" those who allow His work, believe they cannot share what does not appear manifestly biblical in doctrine, methods, and conduct.
They place their trust in God who will fulfill His plan according to His sovereign wisdom and reaffirm the will to remain faithful to "The Whole Gospel" avoiding, however, the extremes of both a sectarian exclusivism and an ecumenical position that compromises the sound and fundamental doctrinal principles of the Holy Scriptures.
What We Believe
Everything we believe revolves around the Gospel. We believe that the Gospel is the good news, that in Jesus Christ God has accomplished His work of redemption. Through His perfect, sinless life, His atoning death on the cross, and His victorious resurrection, reconciliation with God, forgiveness of sins, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the hope of eternal life are freely offered to every person.
