Our Faith

Explore the foundations of our doctrine based on the Holy Scriptures.

Articles of Faith

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe and accept the entire Bible as the Word of God, inspired, unique, infallible, and authoritative rule of our faith and conduct (Ro 1:16; 1Th 2:13; 2 Ti 3:15-17; 2Pt 1:21).

2. Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and assumed human nature in the womb of the Virgin Mary and that He is true God and true man (Mt 1:23; Lu 1:34,35; Jn 1:1,2,14).

3. The Life and Work of Christ

We believe in His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious death as a 'ransom price' for all men, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father as the only mediator, His personal and imminent return for the redeemed, and then on earth in power and glory to establish His kingdom (1Pt 2:22; 2Co 5:21; Acts 2:22; 1Pt 3:18; 1Ti 2:5,6; Ro 1:4; 2:24; 1Co 15:4; Acts 1:9-11; Jn 14:1-3; 1Co 15:25).

4. The Angels

We believe in the existence of angels created all pure and that a part of these, fallen into irreparable corruption and perdition through the direct action of Satan, a rebellious angel, will be eternally punished with him (Lu 10:18; Mt 25:41; Eph 6:11,12).

5. Salvation

We believe that only repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ, the only High Priest, are essential for purification from sin for anyone who accepts Him as personal Savior and Lord (Ro 3: 22-25; Acts 2:38; 1Pt 1:18,19; Eph 2:8).

6. Regeneration

We believe that regeneration (new birth) by the work of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation (Jn 1: 12,13; 3:3; 1Pt 1:23; Tit 3:5).

7. Divine Healing

We believe in divine healing, according to the Holy Scriptures: through prayer, anointing with oil, and the laying on of hands (Is 53:4,5; Mt 8:16,17; 1Pt 2:24; Mk 16:17,18; Jas 5:14-16).

8. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, as an experience subsequent to that of the new birth, which manifests itself, according to the Scriptures, with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues and, practically, with a life of progressive sanctification, in obedience to all the truth of the Holy Scriptures, in the power of announcing "THE WHOLE GOSPEL" to the world (Acts 2:4; 2:42-46; 8:12-17; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9; 19:2-6; Mk 16:20; Jn 16:13; Mt 28:19,20).

9. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit in the lives of Christians who, in the exercise of the universal priesthood of believers, manifest themselves for the edification, exhortation, and comfort of the Christian community and consequently of human society (1Co 12:4-11; Gal 5:22; Heb 13:15; Ro 12:1).

10. The Ministries

We believe in the ministries of the glorified Lord, as authoritative instruments of guidance, teaching, edification, and service in the Christian community, shunning any form of hierarchy (Eph 1:22,23; 4:11-13; 5:23; Col 1:18).

11. The Council of Jerusalem

We believe in the relevance and validity of the deliberations of the Council of Jerusalem, reported in Acts 15: 28, 29; 16: 4.

12. The Resurrection

We believe in the Resurrection of the dead, the condemnation of the reprobate, and the glorification of the redeemed who have persevered in faith to the end (Acts 24:15; Mt 25:46; 24:12,13).

13. Water Baptism

We celebrate water baptism by immersion, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, for those who profess their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (Mt 28:18,19; Acts 2:38; 8:12).

14. The Holy Supper

We celebrate the Lord's Supper or Holy Supper, under the two species of bread and wine, thus commemorating the Lord's death and announcing His return, administered to anyone who has been baptized according to the rules of the Gospel and lives a worthy and holy life before God and society (1Co 11:29-29; Lu 22:19).
